Holiday Coast Credit Union supports CUFA
Credit Union Foundation Australia (CUFA) is the development agency for the Australian Credit Union Movement. CUFA has both a domestic and international development focus in its activities. CUFA supports Australian credit unions to achieve and promote sustainable corporate, economic, social and environmental practice, and to promote financial and social well-being in communities. CUFA develops community access to affordable financial services in the Asia Pacific region, working cooperatively at grass-roots through to government levels, building capacity in emerging credit union movements to create sustainability, improve lives and relieve poverty.
How do we support CUFA?
Each year Holiday Coast Credit Union provide financial support to CUFA as part of our community support initiatives.
At least one representative attends the Development Education program run by CUFA each year. The DE program is an inspiring and professional training and development program which addresses the importance and function of mutuals and credit unions.
Since its inception in 1991, the intensive 5-day DE program has generated exceptional results in personal development, credit union and cooperative education and awareness, plus the motivation and practical know-how for participants to make positive and valuable contributions to their workplace, and the greater community.
