Board of Directors

Holiday Coast Credit Union Ltd has a Board comprising eight Directors. Six are member elected, each elected for a three-year term and two are appointed by the Board.

The Board of Directors is responsible for the sound and prudent management of the Credit Union and have adopted a Corporate Governance Statement.

The member elected Board of Directors are elected by the adult membership, thus exemplifying the democratic ideal.

The Board of Directors is responsible for the overall management of the Credit Union and they delegate the day to day control to the Chief Executive Officer.
Members have the opportunity to participate in the voting process to elect the Board of Directors and subject to meeting the requirements of the Corporations Act 2001, and being assessed by the Director Nominations Committee as being "fit & proper' in accordance with the Board's Fit & Proper Policy have the opportunity to stand for the office of Director.

A maximum of two member elected Directors positions are declared vacant each year and are subject to the Directors Election process.

The Annual General Meeting provides members with an opportunity to exercise their democratic control of the Credit Union.
