Insurance.Burglars don't go on holidaysWith the holiday season fast approaching we become distracted with the anticipation of spending time with close relatives, opening presents, packing the car for the beach and generally being merry! Unfortunately however, it is during this festive holiday when burglars are most likely to strike1, taking the opportunity to sneak in and take our valuable possessions when we are busy having fun. Armed with the knowledge that one Australian home is burgled every
minute2 and 1.8 million Australian homes3
do not have home and contents insurance, having adequate coverage
for your personal possessions would be highly favourable if you
were to find yourself amongst these statistics. Even if you already have Home and Contents Insurance are you sure
you are adequately covered? According to the Insurance Council of
Australia one in three households under estimate the value of their
contents by 30%4, so although you may have
contents insurance you may still find yourself vulnerable to unforseen
costs leaving you short. Burglars may be working hard over the Christmas break but you can enjoy the festivities worry free by arranging a MemberCare Home Insure or MemberCare Home Insure Plus policy through Holiday Coast Credit Union with benefits including: • New for old replacement cover for building and contents With MemberCare Home Insure Plus you can relax knowing that your
guest’s personal property will also be covered up to $5,000.
