Protecting the security of our Members' money and personal information is our top priority. As such, we've introduced Vasco Tokens which offer a superior level of online security.

Vasco Tokens offer what is known as two-factor authentication. Using "something you know" such as a password and "something you have" such as a Vasco Device.

This special device provides an extra layer of security to help protect the account details of our Internet Banking customers and reduce the potential for unauthorised access occurring. Vasco Tokens are widely recognised as a successful and secure way to enhance Internet Banking.

Vasco Tokens are mandatory to any Member wishing to have an External Funds Transfer or Bpay Limit greater then $2,000.00 a day.

How Does a Vasco Token Work?

It works by generating a 6-digit Security Code which is valid for 30 seconds. The device generates the Security code when the button to the left of the display has been pressed. The Security Code that is generated constantly changes and is unique to the individual device.

The Vasco Token can be used on several accounts meaning if you have more than one Membership with Holiday Coast Credit Union, you can use the same Device for all of your needs.

The Vasco Token can be used on any computer as per normal as no special software is required.

Applying for a Vasco Token

If you would like to purchase a Vasco Token device for use without increasing your daily transfer limits, you can order one yourself whilst you are logged into Internet Banking - simply go to the "Security Settings Menu" and select the "Register" option.

If you would like to purchase a Vasco Token device and increase your daily limits above the standard daily limit of $2,000, please contact us on 1300 365 724 Mon – Fri 8:00am til 6:00pm and we’ll have a token in the mail and your limits increased in minutes. Alternatively you can call into one of our branches during business hours to increase your limits & pick up a token.

The cost of a Vasco Token is a once only charge of $25, however there is a $30 fee charged for a replacement device.
