Holiday Coast delivers community grants to local community

Holiday Coast Credit Union has announced the recipients of its 2017 Community Partnership Grants and is delivering the funds to the successful community groups this week.

Formal presentations of the Grant funds are scheduled for the branches as listed in the schedule below from today Monday 29 May 2017.

Grants totalling $64,425 are now being distributed amongst 29 local organisations following the review and consideration of the many applications received from local not-for–profit community and sporting groups.

The selected projects for funding this year again demonstrate the overarching credit union philosophy of “People Helping People” and in doing so assist in making our communities a better place to live, work and play.

“In this current financial year we have now given or committed to grants and sponsorship totalling in excess of $165,000 with our annual giving to Life Education and other community support initiatives in addition to the current funding distribution.

Holiday Coast Credit Union remains focussed on improving the economic and social well being of its members and the communities in which we all live and work.

As a business, we focus on providing our members (our customers) with quality, independently accredited products and services with a continuing emphasis in the education of members in the benefit of saving and the wise use of credit.

In addition to this, and in the true spirit of a mutual organisation, we annually distribute a proportion of our profits to various local community groups that, like us, work to enhance the well-being of our community.

“We at Holiday Coast remain committed to the growth and well being of our local communities and the support of the many volunteer groups that enhance those communities”, CEO of Holiday Coast Credit Union Neville Parsons proudly stated.

Since the inception of its Community Partnership Grants program in 2005, Holiday Coast Credit Union has now distributed in excess of $1,750,000 to more than 470 community organisations, funding many projects that raise the overall level of social and economic well being of our region.

“The well being of the community in which we live and work has an impact on each and every one of us and, as a result, we at Holiday Coast consider it vitally important to assist the many communities within the region we serve and we do so through volunteer works, ongoing savings and budgeting advice and financial contributions through our Community Partnership Grants,” CEO Parsons said.
