Privacy Awareness Week 15-21 May
Holiday Coast Credit Union (Holiday Coast) is a proud partner of Privacy Awareness Week running from 15-21 May, 2016. With the continued surge in mobile usage and online customer engagement, it’s not surprising that this year’s theme is ‘Privacy in your hands’.
Privacy Awareness Week is held as an annual initiative of the Asia-Pacific Privacy Authorities and promotes awareness of privacy issues and the importance for members of the public to protect their own personal information.
CEO Neville Parsons reflecting on Privacy Awareness Week stated: “We know and appreciate that customers value their privacy and we ensure our member’s privacy is intrinsic in our Holiday Coast values and behaviours every day.”
We recommend that our members be vigilant in maintaining a good understanding of their rights and responsibilities for the safe handling of their personal information. This can be achieved by making smart privacy choices, understanding your rights, and also the consequences of the choices you make to share personal information”.
Here are some valuable tips that Holiday Coast provides for members to help members protect their own personal information:
