What is a Direct Debit?

 A Direct Debit is an arrangement between you and a business, where you authorise the business to deduct a payment from your account on a regular basis. Examples include utility bills, rental payments and insurance premiums.

 

How do I set up a direct debit?

You will need to contact the business (biller) whom you wish to authorise to deduct regular payments and complete a Direct Debit Request Service Agreement.

 

What if I need to cancel a Direct Debit?

To cancel the Direct Debit Request Service Agreement, you can contact either the biller or us. If you contact us we will promptly cancel the authority.

We suggest that you also contact the biller to confirm the cancellation.

 

What if a payment that I believe I have cancelled is deducted from my account?
