Unfortunately in the digital world there are also unscrupulous criminals out there trying to steal your private and personal information as well as your hard earned savings.

Here are just a few things that we do to keep it that way.

  • Our team is trained to ensure that we only talk to, or take instructions about your accounts, from you.
  • We provide a 24/7 monitoring service to allow us to react quickly to any suspicious activity on your account.
  • You are protected by our Zero Liability guarantee for fraudulent transactions on your account.1
  • We will never send you an email requesting such information as your internet banking passwords and / or card details (including PIN, CVV and expiry date). DO NOT follow or click on links in such emails or requests to provide such information to persons purporting to be staff of Holiday Coast Credit Union. If you receive any such email or request, delete the message immediately.

Criminals know just how much effort financial institutions put into keeping their customers money and information secure so they will often resort to other methods to try and steal this information directly from you. To fight against this we need to consider fraud prevention and security as a joint effort.

Here are a few helpful hints and tips to help protect yourself against fraud.


General Security

  • DO NOT disclose your card PIN (Personal Identification Number), internet banking password, account password or other confidential account details to anyone.
  • DO NOT keep your PIN with your card.
  • DO NOT disclose any personal information over the phone unless you have initiated the phone call. If you are unsure that the caller is from Holiday Coast, ask for the staff members name and call us back on 1300 365 7 24.
  • IMMEDIATELY report any lost or stolen cards to us on 1300 365 7 24.
  • ALWAYS check your account statements and report any unusual or unauthorised transactions to us on 1300 365 7 24.
